Clutch install

Alright im gonna let you guys know the secret to replacing the clutch on a quattro 1.8T A4. The dealer charges 10+ hours to do this, it shouldn't take longer than 5 hours even with basic hand tools. First off its just about the same for all year A4's.
Rack the front of the vehicle up, take off the wheels.
Un-bolt the half shafts from the transmission.
Un-bolt the rear prop shaft from the transmission and let it hang.
Here is the tricky part, you SHOULD have to hang the engine with a support tool but it isn't needed on the 1.8T. Un-bolt the rear support brace and both of the large subframe bolts in the rear. This should lower down the trans enough to gain access to the linkages and top bolts for the transmission, don't worry the engine won't fall, but you will need two jacks to get it back up.
Un-bolt the starter and pull it out of the way, you can leave the electrical hooked up as long as the negative cable on the battery is off.
Un-bolt both linkages on top of the transmission, you need some large allan sockets to do this.
Take out the one bolt holding the slave cylinder to the trans and pull it out.
Take out the speed sensor on the driver's side of the tranny then you can start un-bolting the trans.
Place a jack under the tranny, and use a long extension to remove all the bolts on the trans.
Wiggle out the trans carefully and get it out of the way.
Now that the trans is out un-bolt the pressure plate from the flywheel and pry it off (it may be stuck on there)
I highly recommend replacing the throw out bearing and the flywheel which has the pilot bearing inside the flywheel.
Place the new clutch assembly on the flywheel and use the clutch alignment tool (which you can buy with some clutch kits) and bolt on the assembly no tighter than 60 NM.
Put it all back together in reverse order and give it a good break in period.
