hey everyone,i plan on getting some suspension upgrades after this winter. i have to decide on whether or not i want coil overs, or racing springs w/ front and rear sway bars. the price for coils will prob be around 1400,and the springs and sway bars will cost me around 800. there arent many curvy roads where i live but i still want some good handeling as well as a good looking car. auto crossing could be a posibility since i cant get much power out of the 2.8L. im leaning more towards the springs and ssway bars, b/c of it being cheaper but if u convince me other wise, i might change my mind!!!
thanx

Well you have to think that you have a 2.8L engine so its heavy, lowering the center of gravity is the best way to increase the handling of the car.
However when you lower an audi the camber goes negative and you can only equalize the negative camber from side to side not increase the camber, for example if you have 1.5 degrees negative camber on the drivers side and 1.7 degrees negative camber on the right, you could balance them both at 1.6 degrees negative camber on both sides. So that being said lowering your car will cause inside tire wear and force you to rotate the tires more often.
If you're looking to save money than upgraded sway bars is the way to go but won't provide much change in handling, if you wan't to go for un-believeable handling go for a coilover kit from like Stasis engineering or something that has an adjustable height.
