so yesterday i decided to take some new pics of the saab. so here they are.

and then today i tore into the block on the vr-4 and found this...

the #2 and #6 bearings are definitely warped.
and if you look at the turbo, it looks like something attacked the turbine wheel, which sucks because the turbos only have 70miles on em'. so im thinking time to upgrade to evo3 16g's.
