hey ...i got a engine rebuild and i found the O2 sensor not connected to my 01 RS with VF39 turbo/wrx engine management. Is there some kind of particular connector i need or can i just get any old connector??

Just splice wires man... You really dont need a connector unless you are planning to take off the O2 Sensor often... If you are asking if you need a particular connector then no you can get any connector with a 2 wire configuration with a ground just in case...
