So we have all seen the "test shots" over the past 3 years... does anyone actually think that its coming?

I heard Toyota is waiting to release it after the new GT-R is realeased to compete with that/steal potential GT-R buyers w/a realistic price

ive been hearing about this for the past couple of years now and they say its not going to be the 2jz anymore its gonna be a v8 and comproably priced to a g35.

im pretty sure itll come, but if it doesnt have the 2jz anymore then its not a supra IMO.

i know they put that straight 6 in the IS300's up until 2006.

its a 2008 model supra, designs are roughley based on the last gen supra with more of a futeristic body style. it will be a v8, roughly 400bhp, rwd, 6spd manual, same engine as whats in the lexus sc430's. its been an 08 design scince they decided to redesign it in 02' i think it was. no need to wait for the gt-r, gt-r's have been in japan the whole time.

Anyways, Ive been waiting for the new Supra forever, I just hope its true... There is a page on toyota.com somewhere what sais somthing like "No, we are not making another Supra"..

I thought it was suppose to compete againts the Z, which is why the new Supra is going to be N/A..

Okay... So Toyota will make a better perforuming car than the Z, maybe... But for over $15k more!

Or... They do make it a badass and try to compete with the GT-R, but not quite as good and only a couple grand less than the GT-R

To me its a lose-lose situation! I dont think they can replace the MKIV with the newer one, it will ruin how we look at the older models..

You have some good points, but I'll allways be a Supra lover > anything else.. no matter how it turns out!

GC8, you are correct, they will never live up to the MKIV.

Also, they said a while back that they were going to make the v8 to compete with the new GT-R, and were thinking about making the v6 to compete with the g35/350z.

I guess that might be a cool idea to have both.

Who thinks that just the name "Toyota Supra" instantly jacked the sticker price up about $8 grand?

The steering wheel has no hub, pretty cool. You can see the sliding roof in the last one.

Those were the only pics i could find on the net, its called the FT-HS hybrid sports coupe.

In the magazine they have pics of what it would look like if its produced..better bumpers, etc.

If Toyota can turn this concept around like Mitsubishi did to the concept X.. This car could look good..but yeah looks very bad right now..

Rumor has it this concept might be fully attainable with Supra badging sometime around 2009 or 2010.

My favourite car is Supra, and my favourite car to drive is the Skyline, easy handling! although I have to say Mitsubishi's are great with drifting! With a Supra it is quite hard unless you already have practiced and quite skilled at drifting!
