My roomate has an '90 240SX with 180,000 miles on it. He replaced the spark plugs with with Bosch. Now I was told that Japenese cars and Bosch plugs dont mix.
He drove it after replacing them and it overheated. We checked the radiator and ended up filling it with almost a whole gallon of distilled water. White smoke, alot of vapor, is coming out the tailpipe. I think its a blow HG. The HG was prolly borderline and the new plug, sparking more than the previous, pushed to the point where it couldnt handle it anymore. However, my roomate's dad believes that if that much water were going into the head the engine wouldnt run at it. Contrary to that, my other roomate thinks that the water would just be burn off, hence the white smoke with vapor.

Thoughts?

I had a 240sx and used Bosch plugs. It blew one of my wires right out of the engine. I stwitched to NGK V-Max and they worked great, never had a problem with them and have been using NGK ever since. As far as the radiator, try using regular antifreeze and see if you have the same problem. Yeah I would think the white vapor is steam but don't quote me on that.
