I'd just like to say from those two companies I've had these AWD cars:
'92 Stealth AWD TT
'90 AWD Turbo Eclipse
'90 AWD Turbo DSM #2
'92 AWD Turbo DSM #3
'92 Legacy Sport sedan (Turbo)
'90? Legacy wagon
as well as experience driving many others
and I stick to being a Mitsu fan 3000GT/Stealth over all

Pretty nice list. So the 3000GT was the funnest in your experience?

Yep gotta say I like the 3000GT best, but all those cars are in different classes. I drove a WRX Sti in the parking lot at a dealer auction, yeah it was great, haven't driven an EVO but I know I'd love that better.

True about the different classes, I am sure the TT pulls ALOT harder :)
My impreza is the only AWD car I have even driven in. And I love it.

The real question is not "which one" but which two? Who came in second place?

they can be very reliable as long as they are maintained. The car was 32-25k or more new. Expect to pay sports car prices for maitenance. If you stay up to date and dont go cheap, you will be very happy with the car.
...to bad no boxter engine!
I believe its "Boxer". Boxter refers to the little Porsche convertable.

I love my GTO. I also think how many are in the area helps how you spend and treat her. If this was an everyday car you saw everywhere, I doubt Id'e spend up. But Iv'e droped almost everything I own into her, and then some. My friends are always saying, hows the car? And for some reason it's down when they ask, but it's not down alot. So they roll their eyes and question me and tell me to sell her. After they pick themselves up off the floor and remove my foot from their asses, they dont ask about my car anymore! :D

I'd have to rate the AWD Turbo DSM as coming in second place, over the AWD Turbo Legacy. Those 2 cars are different markets as well, and that DSM is more for performance, it wins.
For just a good AWD car to drive, with a better chance of being more reliable, just get a non-turbo Legacy. Ooh except their auto trans can go bad easy just like any auto trans.
3000GT / Stealth reliability? Just expect to pay top dollar for parts vs. a Legacy or a Civic. As for build quality I put it right up there with Subaru/Supra/300zx, but you gotta remember an AWD TT has every gizmo under the sun, more stuff to break, and 15 years old it will.

Nothing 4G63T is #1 4-cylinder turbo motor in the world hands down, but some people are ignorant.
I've got the vid of the 1 in a tube frame drag car breaking into the 6's!

I owned a 1984 Plymouth Colt, which was a Mitsubishi, actually, and my STi is my first Subaru. My Colt was burning oil by the time it had 80,000 on the clock, so I didn't have a real pleasureable experience with Mitsubishi. I'd prefer Subaru first. They have a very proven track record for safety and reliability.
