Ive been talking to the driver/part owner of our local FedEx branch for the past 5 months. He wanted to hire me 5 months ago but I had to be 21. I am finally truning 21 in 2 weeks and he made an opening for me.

So I am going with him on tuesday on his route to talk with him, see how it works, etc, etc..

I know UPS has a set pay rate thing being a large company. Im not sure on FedEx though..

Any idea on what I should tell them I want to make? (Right now I am at $12.10 at my current pos job)

My friend works for FedEx, he ships stuff out though, doesnt drive. I tried to call him - he isnt awnsering though. I'll let you know if I get ahold of him

Well, I went today and I took the job, so I should be making almost twice as much as I do now :)

awesome!! Fedex is non-union right? i believe UPS is.

Yeah, technically I dont even work for FedEx...well I do, but FedEx ground workers are sort of like sub-contractors. I just run the route for them, and ware their clothes.. Hard to explain....But I get paid by how many packages I deliver and Pick Up.

Well, I officially start tomorrow!

good luck with the job, my buddy is a loader for fed ex and hes saving to get a big truck, big bucks there.

I work for Fedex Express, they have great benefits....

Cool Jake :) Ground doesnt get bennefits >.< (BS, I know).. But I make almost double I used to and I have a fairly easy route, I get off anywhere between 1:30 - 5:00 at the latest

Your a pretty sick person. lol...its actually not too bad....only 14 hours a day.

5:30am - 7:30pm w/no lunch break (I eat a sandwich and pepsi while driving)

not me i tried to work for ups ! heheh
