This Mod lets you run your stock fogs indepedently without having the low beams on.

this has been confirmed to work on 02-05' wrx

I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE DONE TO YOU CAR FROM THIS MOD

remove the kick panel under the steering column by taking out 1 plastic screw on the side and 2 philips on the bottom corners this will expose the fuse panel and the relay panel.

on the relay panel(black box to the right of the fuse box) locate the 4th relay down, this is the Fog Light relay

now get down in the dash and behind it locate the Red wire with a green stripe. (a flash light will help you tremedously)

cut the wire somewhere where you will have enough space/slack so you can return to "stock" if needed.

crimp a spade connector to both the dash and the wire comming from the relay.

now take about 2 feet of 14-16 gauge wire and run it neatly to cigarette lighter location. using a vampire splice tap it into the positive lead.

now with a corresponding crimp (female or male) crimp the other end of that wire from the 12v+ switched lead.

take that wire and attach it to the wire that is dangling from the Fog relay.

clean up your mess and test everything out, with the key to the on position, you should be able to turn on your fogs, (the light on the switch wont turn on until the low beams are on) without the lowbeams, you should also be able to have the high beams and fog on at the same time now. (great for in the canyons)

now put it all back together and have fun!!!

oh and the reason to have a spade connector on the wire comming from the dash because just in case you can revert it back to "stock" wiring you can do so with out any tools.

This is just for the WRX? Or will this work for my 2.5RS also?
