sti coilovers vs. evo multi-link suspension setup.

what race car these days uses coil-overs?

evo's win in cornering hands down. stock for stock.

I agree, STi's have been playing catch up for the past few years. Doesnt mean they dont handle rediculously well though.

what they "lack" in cornering behind the evo.. they make up with a little better build quality.. evos all seem to fall apart pretty fast.. and a way better interior.. EVO interior = teh ghey haha

Man you guys are so BIASSED!!!

Here is the real test..... When the car passes the first cone set your stop watch and post your time:

Evo: 36.07 sec
STI: 34.28 sec

Also look at the body roll and post:
Evo: More body Roll
Sti: Less Body Roll

Body roll does make the Evo look faster?
You guys are jaded ;), the stop watch doesnt lie.
STI #1 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :) :) :) :) :)

While I'd love to be a Suby fanboy, I have to question whether the same driver drove both cars. That's going to be the only true way to tell, and it's going to have to take an average of a few runs overall to convince me which one handled better. :)

yeah, thats what i hate about those magazines that compare cars, is the same driver driving each one? from reading those articles it doesnt seem like it. so i just look at them for facts and pictures....he he

Exactly. My favorite comparos are when they test one car in the dead of winter and it runs excellent numbers, and then they test another one in the middle of summer.....both with turbos, of course. Then they have the nerve to post up, "Well, this one was faster and it handled better!" They could test the same car on the same tires, and I will almost guarantee that the acceleration tests will be better in the winter, while the handling tests will be better in the summer, especially if the vehicle is on summer tires......
