Hey all, I had another thread going about my idling issues which now seem to be resolved. Both my mechanic and myself thought we finally had this beat when they got their hands on a diagnostic machine to plug into my car and 2 days ago they did a full test on the whole everything to find error codes for the ECS ECU which we deleted the codes. It also had an Error Code 14 (TPS). They tested the TPS to find that it is in perfect working order so we just deleted the error code and we left it at that. Today the engine check light lite up once again so I was back at the mechanics to get yet another diagnostic done to find yet another Error Code 14 (TPS) so they tested the TPS again and found that it's still doing everything it should.
Now we have no idea where to go now, TPS is in perfect running order but I'm still getting the Error Code. I even said that I would go and buy a new TPS to be sure but they assured me that it would be a complete waste of money as the issue is somewhere else.
Basically what we are thinking is it is either damage to the wiring loom or the ECU has some issues. Keep in mind that the ECU has already had the caps replaced.
Before going all out and getting a complete wired in aftermarket ECU is there something else that we should be looking at??
All help or even idea's would be greatly appreciated.
