Hey there, I'm currently looking at getting some new coil overs for my 92 GTO TT. It currently has a full set of Tein's which are leaking (again rebuilt 6 months ago).
I'm thinking about getting a set of those D2 Coil Overs which at least I'll have a 12 month warranty as the Teins are buggered after 6 months after being rebuilt. I got quoted $320 per strut to rebuild and at this stage I need the rear 2 done immediately and Fulcrum advised me that I will need to do the front straight after.
First off is anyone else running Teins? Are you having issues??
Second what is your thoughts on the D2 Coil Overs??
Thanks for looking

Dion - you should be claiming the leak on warranty. Don't take that shit. If it was the other way around and you were running D2's/KSports, then yes, I might say ditch them and go Teins. But your running what should be one of the best setups going. Brad (Stagezilla) is running the Teins on his Black GTO, but they are still quite new. He knows his stuff, so maybe double check with him setting etc to make sure your not doing it wrong. ;)
DON'T GO BACKWARDS ON A COILOVER SUSPENSION! You already have a kick ass setup. Just get it fixed, or have it removed by the time I get up there and I will take it off your hands. :D

The previous owner of the car had them rebuilt 6 months ago. I'm more looking at something to get me going again and not have to worry about them for a while.
I dare say I will be doing a lot of suspension work later on as i do want to hit the track in this car but I'm currently working with my mechanic about getting a Monster Single Turbo conversion happening and this is a setback that i really don't need at the moment.
What sort of dollars would you offer do you think?? only rear passenger is leaking rest seem to be in good condition.

After talking with Fulcrum in Brisbane I'll be getting the leaky coil over rebuilt. Hopefully get it in later this week to get it done.

I found out today that the shop that i had been talking to before where full of shit and trying to rip me off.
First off they tried to tell me that Fulcrum do not offer warranties on rebuilt coil overs and secondly they where going to try and charge me double to what fulcrum direct will do them for.

Gawd damn dodgy operators. Makes me mad. I wonder if my mod powers can reach that far?
