Im joining a Judo 'class' this coming week, It sounds pretty cool. My step-brother got me into it, he just took 2nd in a state amature tournament. He talked me into coming down next week and start training. ive always wanted to compete in some form of fighting, even if Judo is just take down and submission stuff.
Im pretty pumped about it and had to post to see if anyone else is into this stuff :assassin:

I did Judo for maybe 2 weeks when I was 8. I loved it.... I think? Yes, no it was sweet. These days (me being all old n stuff) it wouldn't take much for someone to put a whole lot of hurt on me. Get some vids Case.... ;)

Muay Thai is probably the hardest style to learn. It's very physical and demanding. Before you learn to dish the abuse, you have to take the abuse first. I broke 3 ribs just sparring with pads! It's very well rounded. Kicks and punches for distance and elbows, knees and headbutts for close combat. This isn't professional kickboxing with rules. Real Muay Thai has no rules. If your opponent goes down, you make sure he stays down. Not much on the ground, but thats where my wrestling background comes in. Pro-wrestling may look fake, but I've hung with Brazilian Ju-Jitsu guys with just pro-wrestling training. Hell Kaz Sakuraba is a pro wrestler only and he beat half the Gracie family. I'm learning Irish Bare Knuckle boxing right now. Very dirty stuff but most street fights are dirty.
